Cadillac and all manufactures should have electric eyes on any doors that can shut automatically! My wife got seriously injured when the door came down on her while she was reaching into the cargo area. If a child was leaning in, that child may be killed. Sensors like all elevator doors have would have reversed the door before it injured my wife.
