Car has been great but in the summer of 2018 the screen started to get dead sections, and it would not update to touch. Ordered in 3rd party replacement touch screen. Part looked like it matched up so I pulled the whole middle of the console out. Disassembled and replaced only the touch screen. Assembled again. This was fairly tricky and running wires and ribbons was crucial. I used track fasteners for reassembly. It went well but I hate the ribbon connections. No idea why they use these for vehicles. It is hard to get at clamps and have to be very careful that they are not damaged. Ordered plastic tools for prying out the dash so there is no damage. This took about 5 hours to do.
Once reinstalled, my touch screen worked well. Bottom part, the section below the touch screen is now dead. Have to check fuses or pull the console again and check harness or ribbon connections. I would rather new cars go back to dials and buttons. Never had issues and I find making adjustments to temp or choices highly distracting. Cannot go by feel. Oh well. If you do this, it is fairly straight forward, just go slow and take lots of pics before assembly and check these while you are reassembling. Thank you.

The screen is absolutely horrible. I can't change the temperature, use navigation or do anything that requires the screen. The default reset for the cue is not making any difference.

With display screen cracked, touch screen fails to work a high majority of the time. GM needs to recall the CUE systems with new units having solved the problems with the proper corrections and updates in all the new units. Very annoying.

Have an SRX 2013. The middle of the cue screen does not work at all. When I went to the dealer he was familiar with this problem. Sounded like there are a lot of customers with this problem. And just for screen will be $1,300. Just for the replacement not including maintenance . I read they install same product so likely will happen again. Cadillac should pay for this. Next car will not be a Cadillac .

I'm having problems with the cue radio, its having bubbles. When the sun hits it it doesn't want to work at all. And in the cue radio you can start seeing small cracks.

I purchased a Cadillac SRX and within 2 months my touchscreen froze and would not work. After looking into this, I see its a huge problem! I can't believe Cadillac has not done a recall!! These are supposed to be luxury cars and I can't use anything inside of it! That is absolutely ridiculous!!

The system started out responding slowly then quit altogether. I tried to do the hard reset, but that didn't help.
Update from Aug 22, 2018: Paid $890 for a new CUE unit, $60 for labor and $75.38 in sales tax! Hundreds of complaints and Cadillac will not back a defective product, that they've known about for years!

CUE is DEAD! Doesn't matter what you do, it does not recognize your finger.

Last month, the lower area of the CUE screen does did respond to touch. After a few weeks, the whole CUE screen stopped responding to touch. The CUE system controls many of the interior functions. With a dead CUE system, I'm driving a lemon. Many Cadillac owners have the same problem, and Cadillac is not stepping up to own this problem. I thought the CUE system is Cadillac pride and joy. Well, this pride and joy is lemon scented.

The Cadillac CUE system became useless after hitting around 77k miles. The touch screen is unresponsive - it will switch radio stations, change to different modes (Bluetooth, CD, radio), and keep pausing/unpausing music by itself. Cleaning it doesn't help. This is extremely annoying, since now I can't use the sound system at all. We had a friend with the same year SRX and the exact same thing happened to them around 80k miles. The only way to fix this is to replace the CUE system but I haven't bothered doing this yet. Seems like a common problem with this car based on the other posts.
