The CUE system seemed to have systematically failed over about a week's time. First I couldn't change my AC/Heater settings on the touch screen which was located on the bottom of the screen. Then a day or two later, I couldn't switch from Radio to CD player or anything else on the screen. I pushed the home menu (off the screen) and it went to main menu and there it sits. Can't change it, tried resetting it per suggestions I've read online and so on. This thing is not going to respond.

Now this week, the Bluetooth is acting up where I can't be heard when I call someone but can hear them fine. (yes I checked the Mute button) I've researched the problem online only to find that this seems to be an ongoing problem with CUE with no permanent fix to it. I bought this vehicle used as a Lease return in 2016 but nobody ever mentioned this problem occurring. So with the warranty timed out, and no extended warranty in place, I'm told I'd have to pay out roughly $1300.00 to replace the system with no guarantees on the new system not doing the same thing. What's wrong with this picture?

I've read the stories of people paying that cost to replace them only to have them become non-operational in a years time. Cadillac used to be a reliable car/company but now I've lost all faith in their brand. If there was a Class Action suit in place, I would definitely be adding my name to it!

I purchased this car brand new in May 2013. I shopped around for months trying to decide between this car and the Lincoln crossover. I was excited to purchase this vehicle as a retirement gift to myself after 28 years as a police officer and serving my country for 3 years prior to becoming a police officer. Two days after purchasing the vehicle, the radio wouldn't work. Of course, by the time I took it to the dealership it was working just fine. However, they kept it overnight and ran a diagnostic on it just to be sure. I got it back with a clean bill of health. Almost 2 years later, the touch screen stopped responding and again, back to the dealership I go. I was told that the whole CUE system had to be replaced and reprogrammed due to a recall. Ok fine, it was no cost to me since it was a recall and my vehicle was under warranty. Once again, the vehicle was kept overnight and I was given a loaner. So now, here we are again about 2 weeks short of two years since the system was replaced and I'm having the same problem! However, now the screen has developed these spider web looking cracks in it from the inside. It started on the edges and is slowly making its way across the screen making visibility difficult or obscure. The dealership originally stated that the cracks were cosmetic and I had nothing to worry about as far as the system was concerned. This was a cosmetic issue and I was not the only one with this problem. When the touch screen stopped responding and the radio started changing stations on its own, now the system has to be replaced. Oh and the "cosmetic" scratches or cracks in the screen were due to the heat from the vehicle. My system now has to be replaced at "my expense"! The service guy that's telling me all this goes on further to say, "it's been two years since we replaced your system. So you will have to pay for it this time." I'm like you're kidding! So every 2 years the system needs to be replaced? Is this like a "wear & tear" item? Yeah right! Oh & before I was told to replace the system, they did a reboot & charged me $180 to which he stated we can apply that to the new system. I'm feeling like they owe me my money back & a new freaking system! Truly upset & disappointed...should have went with the Lincoln or paid the extra & bought a Mercedes! 1,650
