At all times my headlights are dim and when I first start my vehicle my headlights strobe. I understand this is a common problem so I called my local dealer as well as Cadillac and both told me it would not be fixed as a recall/safety concern. When operating my vehicle at night I must drive with high beams, it's as if my low beams aren't on at all. My problem started around 80,000 and now at 91,000 my headlights are useless.

Low beam headlights are unreasonably dim and it is unsafe to drive at night. Less than 5 feet of visibility. Car can't be driven at night due to the low output of light. Abstaining from driving at night for fear of having an accident and getting someone gets injured or something more serious. This needs immediate attention. Someone is welcome to come and visit and do a drive with us at night.

Complaint involving dim headlights - poor lighting. My 2013 Cadillac headlights are dim with very low visibility and dangerous to drive at night. We are unable to clearly see any objects in the path of vehicle when driving at night. We took the vehicle in for diagnosis and were told it no longer under warranty and will have to pay $2000 for repair. After researching further, other owners of this same vehicle have complained of the same issue and confessed that repair is only a temporary fix - there is a manufacturer defect of the seal around the light fixture which allows condensation inside the bulb. We called GM and they boldly told us no warranty, no repair. What about safety??!!!! there are apparently several class action lawsuit - this should be illegal and GM should be held accountability for faulty products that is life threatening. Congress has to get involved!!!!

Just purchased a 2013 Cadillac. It is a beautiful vehicle but almost crashed the first time I drove it at night. Cannot see with headlights on dim. Help please. Vehicle was in motion. I had to drive at an unsafe slow speed quite a distance to get where I could pull over. This is a dangerous safety hazard. I've got to be able to drive at night. Dangerous! when you dim your headlights they barley shine at all. Looks as if they aren't on. Stopping and having to brake is very dangerous.

Head lamps when driving at night seem very dim. Almost to the point that I wonder if my headlights are even on. Have had several other people who have driven my car at night and also came back to me and asked if I was having problems with my headlights due to them not being able to see at night.

The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Srx. While driving unknown speeds, the low beam headlights failed to produce adequate lighting. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact called a local dealer (ron carter autoland, 3205 fm 528 rd, alvin, tx 77511, (281) 331-3111) and was referred to an unknown Cadillac dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 58,000.

About a month ago I noticed the low beams on my vehicle are very dim. They are so dim I have gotten out of my vehicle to ensure that they are even on. They are on but I cannot see more than 5ft in front of me while driving at night. It is very scary and dangerous how dim they are. Sometimes I turn on my high beams to see at night but this is also dangerous to other drivers.

Ever since we owned this vehicle the headlights have always been dim. I had replaced the bulbs and it did not help. Dealer said it would be over 1500 to fix and it was not covered. I cant afford that so I told my wife we just will not try to drive it at night. On the 3rd of July my wife had to take the car to the store because I was not home. I told her please be careful. When coming into our neighborhood she miscalculated a right turn and ran off the road into the drainage ditch. She was shaken up but not hurt. She was able to get out of the ditch but messed the car up pretty bad. She said she simply could not see the turn because of the headlights being to dim. I have complained to my dealership before about this issue and said it is not covered so the cost would be 1500 plus. This to me is a safety hazard the only way we can see is if we have the brights on. There needs to be a safety recall on this mode of vehicle it is very dangerous to drive at night.

Unsafe defected headlights. Today, I had a tech at claude nolan Cadillac jacksonville, fl check the headlights and the cue-system on my 2013 Srx model. The tech-adviser informed me that I need headlamps that cost $1200 each and three downloads to fix the cue technology system issue. What? these issues are well documented as ongoing issues. Why are we...the customers addressing General Motors (GM) noted defect/issue surrounding the Srx 2013 model? I will use social media to inform folks and potential buyers to beware of this safety issue. GM is not being accountable nor responsible. The Srx 2013 model is an unsafe vehicle due to their headlights: A recall is needed for this defect (that's the right thing to do). Buyers beware of any other GM-Cadillac models; not to mention the Cadillac-cue system experience that freeze or cycle automatically without touch. As a consumer, I supported GM-american cars (not after this). Remember GM, you can measure lost revenue.

Low beam headlights are unreasonably dim. This has been well documented with General Motors and on many internet sites. General Motors is telling me that they are reviewing a recall. In the meantime I am driving and incredibly unsafe vehicle. It is in the shop currently for other reasons, and I'm driving a 2015 loner and the difference in the low beam brightness is more than significant. This is a very strong safety issue. And General Motors can't seriously expect someone to pay 1500 to $2,000 in repairs for something that should never go out. It's their fault and they know it.

Headlights when in standard on, not brights, not daytime running lights, are very dim. Only have about 5 feet of visibility. We have had the dealer twice do a full evaluation, and according to GM/Cadillac everything checks, voltages, etc. If everything checks, they why are the lights too dim? the dealer will do nothing since there is nothing in their (GM/Cadillac) system for problems. We use thomson macconnell Cadillac in cincinnati, oh. They are following their directions and will not do any more in assisting to correct the problem I have searched the internet, and there are no recalls, no anything for correction. There are however, several lawsuits being brought against GM for this problem, and there are others that refuse to drive their Srx at night due to the low output of light. We are probably going to park it at night and drive our other car. This has been this way for the two years we have owned this vehicle. If we can't use it when ever we would like to use, then the problem needs fixed before there are accidents and maybe someone gets injured or something more serious. We should not have to wait till that happens. This needs immediate attention. Someone is welcome to come and visit and do a drive with us at night.

I bought this car used in August, 2017. I am unable to drive the vehicle at night due to the low beams being dim. Does GM plan to replace these bulbs? I cannot drive it for fear of accident, hitting a deer or someone not seeing my vehicle.

The head lights are very dim.this is an ongoing daily issue. The issue cannot be remedied by changing the bulbs alone. There is very now visibility at night unless the high beams are used which distracts oncoming traffic. This issue is experienced in all driving settings, city, highway, country roads. It is most pronounced when driving in dimly lit country roads.

The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the headlights on the vehicle were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to dorman Cadillac GMC (1000 interstate dr, dunn, nc) where it was diagnosed that the headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

I noticed the dim lighting on low neam and took it to my mechanic. I had him replace the bulbs. They were very expensive bulbs and only helped minimally. I the went to cadiilac dealer and they will not replace the lighting harnesses. I have read online many cases and the dealer has many of the cases documented. In fact, the car in front of me at service had the same problem. Case #

Headlights are so dim that I have to drive with brights on continuously at night. When oncoming traffic signals me by blinding me, I switch to dims and have to guess at where the road is. This is unacceptable. The vehicle was brought in while still under basic warranty. Problem not resolved. I even purchased an extended warranty. No help there either. I am paying for a vehicle that I cannot safely drive at night. No way I can let my kids use this vehicle at night. I am deeply disappointed.

Lights on dim are so dim you can barely see. Problem with seals in light assembly. Having to replace but understand that it is a common problem and a flaw in the Srx.
