The mother board in my Cadillac cue controls is going out for the 3rd time. Cadillac has admitted to knowing that the board they put in their vehicles are trash. Cadillac however did not notify me before or after I purchased the vehicle that these mother boards are trash and will fail about every 1 1/2 years and must be replaced for around $1,100 to $1,850. At times the screen will be black and you cannot do anything with the radio, A/C or onstar functions. At times the screen will start to shimmy as if it is having a seizure. At times it will start to make beeping noises and randomly assign radio stations to multiple setting spots and you have to go back and reset all of your settings. My $5,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty does cover the replacement however once that is expired I must come out of pocket at least every year or two over $1,000 to have it replaced. No recall has been done to replace this with a higher quality, longer lasting mother board

2013 Cadillac Srx front headlamps do not put out light. Cant drive it at night. Cadillac suggested after market bulbs, also didn't work. Have now installed flood lights to use for driving. Have spent over $600. Cadillac says they have never heard of this happening. Can't guarantee putting new ones in will help and it could happen again. How can Cadillac sell cars without effective lights? terrible safety hazard. Got no satisfaction from dealer or Cadillac.

The lift gate will not open due to the control module short circuitiing. This was due to water backing up from the sunroof drain hose which seeped into the trunk area and shorted out the liftgate control box.

The Cadillac cue (information/navigation/air condition system) developed spider web type cracks inside the screen; this makes it hard to see or use control features. I went online and found hundreds of people are having the same issue. One person has only 19,000 miles and has the web like cracks. It was 90 when I got into my car and saw a few of these cracks (these cracks are smooth to touch on screen), but a week later it's gotten bigger. A source says it's a factory defect, and that the cracks are ther glue or adhesive has dissipated, and is detaching the screen from the actual component. I have 44,000 miles on my vehicle... it stays under the carport, but is still having this issue. With so many people complaining and posting pictures on General Motors discussion thread, one would think something would've gotten done. As stated before, it was a small line and it's constantly spreading throughout the Cadillac cue screen. It's a simple issue, but should consumers have to pay the dealership for something they have no control over? here is the link with others complaining about ther same thing. Cadillac cue touchscreen is inoperable. Vehicle has 31,000 miles. I purchased the vehicle new. Vehicle is out of warranty but according to web searches, this is a common problem with the cue. The touchscreen is non-responsive to touch interface for various automotive systems which could be a safety hazard. Such as defogging or defrosting the windshield. Systems such as navigation, interior climate control, media controls, bluetooth controls, and other electronic controls. The dealership says it is out of their control. I do not want to pay $2500 (Cadillac quote) to repair something that appears to be a common failure item for the year model.

The computer on the dash that controlls the back up cam radio etc. Has been replaced while under warranty began cracking for no apparent reason. Cadillac will not replace the part and cannot guarantee the part will not fail a 3rd time. Told many people have this problem.

The Cadillac cue system is not responding, it is completely frozen. I am not able to control the climate nor hot or cold, not able to defrost my car. The screen defect can cause or could lead to the loss of ventilation control functionality. This is dangerous and most certainly a safety issue. The issue occurred when car was stationary as I was turning my car on to head home from work I noticed the screen was not functioning.

Cue malfunctioning: I purchased my car two months ago and it has been in the shop for the past month after the cue quit responding. The Cadillac dealer cannot do anything to help because Cadillac does not make the cue any more. Called customer service and told them that I was told to "get in line because there are more than 700 customers ahead of you with the same problem". really? and that's just one shop! we have called around, no one has the oem parts. The only option is a refurbished unit. We have tried that, the unit was defective. So here I am, stuck paying for a car I cannot fully use because all of the settings are in the cue. To fix the issue will cost $1,500 but that's only if I can get around to fixing it or whenever 700+ other customers' cues are fixed... however long that will take!

Very disappointed in this car. Purchased new. We are still working for resolution to the tcm transmission control module recall- the dealer originally reprogrammed the tcm using wrong program which caused a huge delay between shifts. It was reprogramed several months later, but now is experiencing the lag when the car is in "eco"mode..occurs when the car accelerates to 10 mph, breaks are applied, then go to accelerate again--there is a huge lag--nearly hit trying to pull into traffic. In normal mode, this is not as prevalent, but is not shifting as it should. With the rear toe nut recall, the dealer tightened the toe nuts.. that's all their notes state. We took this vehicle in to have them diagnose a multitude of issue--one of which uneven tire wear and chipping. They determined that the rear toe was out of alignment substantially.-- appears that when the recall was completed, all they did was tighten the toe adjusts (even if in alignment or not) if you look at the recall report, GM amended the sop for resolving this issue in early 2015 with additional pictures of how to properly tighten the toe--we asked that GM replace these badly worn tires, but they declined--the car has 28,000 miles, and it already needs new tires... !" on 12/5/15 while cleaning the vehicle, I found some bearings in the drivers floor board--along with some white plastic that houses the bearings--I guess it came from the seat track"--taking in to dealer to examine. The car also has evidence of power steering fluid leaking from the reservoir--and under the driver's side of the vehicle due to power steering fluid residue in each of these locations. A pecking noise if prevalent at slow speeds. The rear cv shaft has the paint worn off where something is in contact. Also confirmed during all of this that the car has been painted--prior to us driving off of the lot new in 2013

We have been receiving the card telling us we have active recalls on our vehicle of the following: 13053 driver shift control feature may disengage; 13116 loosening of the wheel nuts; 14132 lag in acceleration & 14457 rear toe link adjuster lock nut torque. We have taken the vehicle to sam swope Cadillac in louisville ky & champion Chevrolet in lagrange ky & both refuse to perform the recall work because our title is a rebuilt title. Why does that make a difference, we still need to have these issues fixed. Our vehicle is properly titled, licensed & we have full coverage insurance. (the reason it is a rebuilt title was rear damage on the lot. It only had 35 miles on it when we got it!) I want to get these recalls taken care of, but can't find anyone to perform them thru the recall notice. Could you please advise what our next steps ought to be? rebuilt title or not, these recall services need to be performed on our vehicle. Thank you

This is a problem that is happening because of the stop/start button. Because there is no key for this vehicle you are able to push the stop button with the car in gear and if you do not pay attention to the warning lights or chime and get out of the car it will roll away. This has happened on more than one occasion and lucky no injuries so far. Because of the interlock between the key and the gear selector on a vehicle with a key you are not able to remove the key till the vehicle is in park. I know a lot of cars now have the stop/start button so am thinking this may cause a lot of accidents if they all work in this manner.

I purchase a Cadillac Srx 2013 and after a 6 hour trip a very loud noise started coming from the left front side of the vehicle. I have had it in the shop 5-6 times. They state that the noise is reproducible but they can seem to nail down where it is coming from. The noise becomes loudest at 35-40 then at 78-80 mph. The vehicle is still under warranty at benny boyds. I took it to alderson and they said they thought it was in the frame. However GM sent a rep. And he denied there was any sound coming from the front end even with the mechainc in the back seat validating the noise. Ive had two different dealerships and a outside mechanic validate the problem, but they are unable to fix it. It is a rotational noise that is not heard in other Srx's. I tried the lemon law but the rep denied the problem and I was advised to just continue taking the car into the shop until they can fix it.
