The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT4. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she heard an abnormal popping sound coming from an unknown location. Additionally, there was a screeching sound coming from the brakes. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the rear passenger-??s side shock absorber. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 25,000.
