Intermediate link missing grease fitting although the hole was drilled.. location for fitting not visually accessible unless mirror used. Missing grease fitting caused water to gain entry to ball joint and cause premature failure. This vehicle was greased at least twice at dealer who should have picked up missing grease fitting. Assumed manufacturer using lifetime sealed joint as have seen some from GM. Vehicle regularly greased either by owner or dealer. Clunking noticed in steering. Owner has replacedpart and original is available from owner if needed for inspection.
