Avalanche 8.1L V8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

So Many issues with this truck. The longest-running and most annoying has to be coolant leaks. As soon as we'd put more coolant in, it would leak right out. Worst. Truck. Ever.

yeah i got a 2003 avalanche and i find that there is a slow coolant leak that is not visible so i check it out talk to a few people come to find out in 2001 chevy used a certain head from a certain manufacturer and it was faulty so they stopped using it well then in 2003 they went back to using these heads because they got them extremely cheap (go figure) so they started using them in this year only again and in only half the vehicles anyway long story short at 120,000 the heads puked on me and i had to fix it this would cost someone like 5000 in a shop i would assume cause i did it myself and it cost me like 2000 so yeah i feel sorry for any of u this happens to and u cant do it yourself
