Avalanche 4WD 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission

A warning light stating "service 4WD now" appeared on my dash of my 2003. Chevrolet Avalanche. According to the owner's manaul, this indicates that there is a problem with the 4-wheel drive of my vehicle. Upon inspection at the local Chevrolet dealership, I was informed that there is a bulletin from GM stating not to do any repairs for this concern. My vehicle is now stuck in 2wd and GM does not know if or when they will be able to remedy this defect.
