i have a 2004 alvalanche that the ac blow out hot air on both side, once and awhile you might feel a cool breeze.this my 3rd yr with this problem.ive taken it 4 mechanics including the chevy dealership twice.ive replaced the control unit, and everything else checked out fine.there was a recall on the wiring for ac.i took it straight back to dealership, and they said this wasnt the problem, but for $89.00 an hr.they would see if they could figure out the problem.i love the truck, but im just ready to get rid of it because of this on-going problem.i hate to even drive it in the summer time..

This truck has more problems for a 2004 than I've ever encountered...my 2004 Avalanche A/C doesn't work. Try turning the vehicle off and then back on; the A/C may or may not work then.

I turned on the AC and the AC blew hot air, turned off engine and then back on and the AC works good but it happened about three times and now it makes a low popping noise?

Starting in around April I turned the AC on and it worked fine. Then a few days later it would start blowing hot. You could kill the motor and then restart it and the ac would blow cold again. This went on for a couple months and now it just blows hot all the time. I've checked the compressor, fuses, bought a new control panel, changed the high and low pressure switches and it is still not working. Also checked freon and it is full. I had it hooked to a computer and the only code that was showing was a bad blender actuator.
