My oil cluster has gone out and now the fuel and speedometer cluster is going out or has gone out. Need to know what I can do to have this fixed and if there is a recall on this problem yet?

Basically there is a major problem with this on Chevy Trucks & Avalanches....as i sadly found out the first week I bought my used 2004 Chevy Avalanche Z71 5.3 V8.
The battery voltage wasn't reading right...oil & coolant temperatures were off the chart....gas didn't read right.
So I called the dealer and asked what it would cost to fix or replace with a new cluster.......it was some astronomical price $700+....i don't recall the exact amount now as it's been a few months since this happened.
So I found a place in town that they install car radios, and fix clusters etc. And they said ya Chevy is the worst for that problem and they do at least a few EVERY WEEK!
So anyway the guy told me he said you might as well replace all the little motors that go to each gauge ie , Coolant Temp, Oil, Bat Volt, etc etc. Because i was gonna have to pay him $100 for the labour so for $25 a pop on each motor i might as well replace them all at once and know that i should be ok. Well i think i was about $300 by the time I was all said and done with just that. And believe me this was cheap compared to what the dealer wanted to fix & or just order a new cluster. The thing is you need the gauges so what do you do.
I also had lights go out in the Radio buttons and the other controls..but i didnt bother......as i already had to contend with back speakers that didnt work & needed replacing + a passenger side Window Regulator Switch needing replacing $100 for the part.

Speedometer has stopped working, the needle has spun all the way around. It is troublesome since I just found out that GM knew of this problem and never said anything about it. I am also learning that the only fix is to replace the whole instrument cluster which has a cost of about $300.
