This truck really sucks the frame is pretty much rotten and rusted. I have toyota a year newer with no rust or rot, as expensive as these trucks are you would think Chevy could do something!

Just 2 months after taking delivery, my front bumper shattered upon lightly scraping a packed snowbank while I was inching up into my parking space while in Vermont on a ski trip. GM would not own up to using cheap plastic so I had to buy a new bumper at my own expense. Brake Rotors rotted out, both driveshafts severely rusted/blistered, so-called hardened steel parts: Sway Bars and links, frame, brake lines etc. are just disintegrating. I had my original '86 T-Bird until last year and after 23 years it had less rust/rot than my 5 year old Avalanche. GM should be run out of business for making such cheap junk! After 40 years of working on cars, I can not believe that it is legal to put such a vehicle with so many potential safety hazards on the road.
At 48,000 miles the GM rear rotors rotted out for the third time and the rotor dust shield disintegrated in my hand. GM has hit a new low by using cheap steel. Based on their commercials on how tough their trucks are, they should be sued for false advertising.
