window regulator switch failed. VERY common on chevy trucks/avalanches of this era 1999-2004 at least.
Take door panel out and replace window regulator. Part alone is around $100 PER DOOR.
So if you have 4 doors.......400 in parts if they all failed roughly. That does not include labor. And the worst part is.........the new part you buy from the store will eventually fail too. It is no better, you are just replacing the faulty part with a new one that is designed bad and gonna fail in time as well. My 93, &94 Chevy trucks never ever had that problem. Prob , crap design & cheap parts made in china.

The electric passenger side window does not work most of the time, sometimes it does ? I had it down while driving and it started raining, it took two people standing on the side of the road in the rain with one pulling up on the window and the other pushing the electric window button. You would think that after years of the power window motor invention that the sharp minds at Chevrolet could figure out how to make electric window motors that would last longer than 3 years.

Passenger window was real slow then completely quit working, was told it needed new actuator or motor but wanted to save money so I searched how to replace power window motor and took door panel off, tore the plastic cover inside to spray white lithium grease, ( I think it was $4.00). It worked and almost three years later still works. Hope this helps save your money, took me a hour or less, can't remember for sure on the time since its been so long.
