problem #2

Avalanche Z71 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 124,500 miles

When I replace the shaft, it will be the 3rd time. It happens around 40-45000 miles. I called GM directly and they told me, even though it is a consistant problem, they won't do anything. They wouldn't even give me the part so I could replace it. There is definitely a problem.

Avalanche

  • Automatic transmission

This is obviously a manufacturers defect, I've heard of several people with the same problem. Why is there no recall? Why won't my extended warranty cover this item?
