I had an accident in my 07 avalanche. Smashed the front end in. Thought the insurance company would total it. But they didn't. It took 4 months to get it back. When I got it back it was jerking really bad while driving. Took it to another shop and they said the transmission was bad. Fought the insurance company for 2 weeks to get them to pay for it. They finally did. After another 2 weeks we got the truck back. Its running better than it was but now its accelerates on its own and the rpm's increase dramatically over 55 mph. There are no check engine lights and the mechanic says its probably just fluids settling. But it doesn't seem right. Has anyone experienced this before or know what to do? Ive done a little research online and maybe its the ECM, or it wasn't reset after the tranny change. Could that be it? Any advise would be appreciated, its been right at 6 months since all this started.
