This issue seems to be a know problem with Chevy Trucks. I love my Avalanche, but this was a very disturbing problem that made our trip across the US very miserable. After searching the WEB on this issue can not find any real solution and I am afraid to take it to a dealer to pay a small fortune if there is a small fix. It should be on a recall with all the discussion about it.
