I just purchased this truck, October 2016, to pull a 17 ft. Bass Tracker boat. I, really, wanted an efficient vehicle to tow my boat, hoping for as few problems as possible. Thus, I purchased what I thought was the top of the line model (Black Diamond Edition) to achieve my dream. Well, on 4/1/17 as I was driving on a 45 mph street, the speedometer read 100 mph. I became concerned since I have very little mechanical knowledge and the truck did not lose power or speed. I drove home and waited until Monday to take it to the Chevy dealer to find out what was going on. They were not surprised to hear of the problem....it was as if this was old news. They didn't even mention a warranty for this type of thing. They just set an appointment for Thursday morning to check the "Instrument Cluster" giving me a quote of $395.00 for the part and $210.00 for the labor. So, this is going to cost me $605.00, to replace something that would prevent my using the vehicle.
I guess I made a major mistake in purchasing this truck. I love the style but, if it is going to break down too often, I may as well get rid of it now, before I'm stranded on the side of the road with my boat.
I tried purchasing AMERICAN....I am not comfortable with this one.
