First time it happened tow truck called. Tow truck driver used the shift lock release to get me going. Service Dept. where purchased couldn't find anything wrong after having it two days. Happened four more times (kept using shift lock release)and finally took it back for another day in the Service Department. "Could not replicate the problem so cannot fix it" was their decision. Drove car home, parked at mailbox to pick up mail, and guess what! Couldn't get it out of park. The only helpful person was the tow truck driver--maybe he should be running the Service Department at Vista Chevrolet. Of course, the "it's all in your head" attitude by the Service Tech doesn't help either. I need reliable transportation and would love to have this fixed. It's great (sorry, Phoenix) to hear someone else had this problem--I'm not going crazy!

This one problem has now happened 4 times in one year.
This does not count the THREE times the lock fell out of the driverside door. This car is such a LEMON yet when I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, GM contacted me and offered me jack SH*T

The first time my shifter or clutch got stuck I was so upset and didn't understand why. I took it back to the dealer and they fixed it and it was replaced with a one year warranty and 1 year 1 month later it happened again so now I drive it around using the shift release button. I refuse to pay for a faulty part twice when the damn thing doesn't even make sense that the part is only good for a year but that's okay. Because of this experience with this Chevy Aveo I will NEVER purchase another Chevy.... EVER!
