I've read hundreds of complaints about the Aveo and I have the same thing. The passenger side tail lights are out, interior dash lights if I turn my heater on high all the lights kick out. I smell smoke and my splicer in the car is burnt crispy. There is way too many circuits running to the splicer, but I hear of a fix for the s101 splicer fix which consists of doing away with the splicer and direct wiring 3 series of wire. Hopefully the wiring has not already melted together which will cost a lot or be unfixable. The last thing I want is my car catching fire with my wife and eight-year-old in it. The fix shouldn't be to replace the same exact thing that failed - the replacement for safety should be a fix that doesn't cause your car to catch on fire.
