After starting car, I was unable to disengage the car from the parking position. Was only able to get car out the park position by jamming a metal device into the manual shift lock release position. Ended having car towed to mechanic who diagnosed problem as needing a new fuse box. However, after first drive home, back to original problem: Cannot remove key from ignition and if I do drive, electrical power goes out.

While car was parked I was unable to shift to drive. I had to call a tow truck to my job and have it towed. Luckily the tow guy knew where the emergency bypass was or else I would have had to wait for a crane to lift it. At the dealership they had to replace my brake sensor and my gear shift. According to tow guy this is happening alot. Thank goodness I wasn't driving it when it happened.
