This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
My car would Rev high in reverse and while I hit the gas it wouldn't move. I hate my car dealership they treat me like sh*t. I have at least 8 complaints on this car and counting...

My 4-month-old Aveo LT Sedan lost all of its oil at highway speeds on a long commute to work (115 miles). The engine made an extremely loud knocking sound that was deafening. When checking the problem, the dip stick read 0 oil level. I took the vehicle to a Chevy dealer (as its still under original warranty) and they replaced a critical oil pump gasket but had to dismantle much of the engine to get to it. They had it in the shop for 3 days. Now, having gotten it back, the engine runs louder, has poorer fuel economy, and is sluggish to accelerate. It also continues to leak oil. I am seeking a buy back from GM as there obviously is internal damage.

2007 Aveo leaking a tremendous amount of coolant into engine. Dealer "sealed plugs" in head, did not bother to flush engine, change PCV valve etc. Engine rattles and knocks when started in the AM - no power. Car has been taken care of since new. Regular oil changes with premium oil and filters, never driven hard or overheated. Just started using a ton of antifreeze. Dealer denies this is a problem - said it's normal when it's cold outside (it's summer time - it's 70 degrees in the AM). Engine damage has occured - mud/sludge in crankcase, death rattle when starting. Stay away from this car at all costs. Incidentally, the first repair order indicated "poor machining" in reference to the cylinder head problem. I see there is now a TSB for this issue....pure garbage that an engine self destructs after 25K miles.

I am about ready to cry...what's next.
After having the oil light come on and the dealer trying to remedy the problem - the engine is damaged (while still in the shop). This is what happens when you are not allowed to make the necessary repairs because the manufacturer wants to save a few bucks! I believe my mechanic knows what it will take to fix my car, but has their hands tied because of GM. Too much red tape to just fix the car correctly.

Oil leak and burned out engine at 7K. They alledgedgley fixed the problem but the next day the same thing happened. They replaced timing belt (why? dont know), and every gasket you can think of. I haven had any future problems with oil, but the car still doesnt run right. Every time i started it idles so high i have to punch the accelorator to get it to idle, it "putters" "backfies" every time i start it. While idling in drive or park it races and putters. While driving at any speed the RPMs randomly race for no apparent reason. The dealer says there's nothing wrong with it.

My 2007 Chevy Aveo was having an oil leak, so I took it to Parks Chevrolet, Kernersville North Carolina, they had told me that it was just the oil plug leaking. Well the next day I started to head to Florida, well my car did not make it to Florida. My 2007 Chevy Aveo broke down in South Carolina. It sat at the Nourse Chevrolet for two weeks. And my car is yet to be fixed. Parks Chevrolet refused to help me with this problem. They had said that is was not their problem, and that they could not help me. So I had to rent a Uhaul to tow my car to Florida. When I went to pick my car up from Nourse Chevrolet, they gave me my car motor in a box. They did not put my car back together!
