The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. When the wipers were used during the winter ice/snow scratched the windshield. In addition, the contact felt that the tires were not adequate for the vehicle. They caused the vehicle to be too close to the ground. The tires provided very little traction during the winter. The tires are the original that was on the vehicle at the time of purchase. A stress crack in my windshield. The crack starts under the rubber casing of the windshield. I awoke in the morning after an extremely humid night followed by a cold morning to find my windshield with a hairline crack. Dealer said this isn't a problem. I have researched the internet and found several complaints from the 04 through 07 model of the Aveo with the same problem. My glass tech said this the crack is very likely due to a structural defect.
