When applying brakes at any speed there is extended braking distance. Pedal will go almost to the floor, . also, sometimes pedal feels hard. ABS light comes on intermittently. Dealer determined that ABS module needed to be replaced.

NHTSA recall 99-V-193-000/ manufacturer's recall 99041 ; antilock braking system light will not go out since recall repairs were performed. Two blocks away from dealer ABS ligh stayed on. Dealer was notified, and stated there wasn't a problem.

NHTSA recall 99 V 193 000/manufacturer's recall 99041 concerning ABS: Vehicle does not stop when brakes are applied, consumer received a recall notice, and was informed by dealer nothing was wrong after test driving vehicle.. consumer also stated that the first problem that she encountered was that the 4-wheel drive did not work, the power booster was replaced, however consumer is still experiencing braking problems.

When a small bump in the road is hit when braking, the antilock brakes activate and cause extended braking distance. This is a major safety problem which should be addressed since it happens on dry pavement. If a bump isn't run over then brakes work normally.ak

ABS light came on-brakes started pulsating when not being applied-speedometer started going erratic and engine started downshifting-has contiued to do so since then-contacted Chevy-complaint#C05294058-they claimed no recall-I stated this should be a national safety issue-no way to maintain ABS system and obvious computer problem-since then I have received a copy of a recall letter for 91-96 Blazer with this problem from a friend who has same problem and did receive recall letter-hope you can help me.

While applying brakes at 30 mph, vehicle slowed down but did not come to a complete stop. Driver had to run onto a curb to prevent it from hitting another vehicle. Vehicle taken to a dealer shop, and dealer informed consumer that master cylinder needed to be replaced. Consumer would like to know if it was normal for master cylinder to fail at less then 23,000 miles of wear. Consumer is requesting reimbursement.

Some leakage as seen on pavement..checked with two service stations after brakes went to floor at stoplight. They can't replicate, what could be problem. Master cylinder" leakage is not steady. Pumped brakes back to functioning. Brakes replaced about six months ago. High heat? drive 18 miles to work. I would like to know what is problem before I have accident. What is suggested" thanks.

Have done everything that I know of to correct the problem. Braking system is still spongy after turning the rotors and drums, installined new pads, and bleeding the front brakes. As far as I know, all recalls have been performed. At the moment it is an accident waiting to happen. Any other complaints about the brakes on 95 Blazer" what can I try next" thanks.
