About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
While applying brakes at 30 mph, vehicle slowed down but did not come to a complete stop. Driver had to run onto a curb to prevent it from hitting another vehicle. Vehicle taken to a dealer shop, and dealer informed consumer that master cylinder needed to be replaced. Consumer would like to know if it was normal for master cylinder to fail at less then 23,000 miles of wear. Consumer is requesting reimbursement.

I have been plagued with constant brake problems on my '95 Blazer. It has been in the shop since I purchased it over 10 times for the brakes alone. I recently heard about the brake recall warning issued by you (NHTSA) and immediately called ed morse Chevrolet and spoke with a service manager. He advised me your report was false and you are re-issuing a statement to the contrary. He told me the warning had "nothing to do with my particular Blazer" and that I would not be included in any recall or warning presently. My brakes have been a nightmare for me, I am afraid of braking system, but have no choice but to drive the vehicle. I had my attorney write a letter to ed morse, to no avail. I finally went to an outside mechanic who attempts to keep me safe by regularly checking my braking system. What I would like to know is am I included in this recall alert 99V193000 or NHTSA campaign number 991006000? any help that you can give me will be so appreciated. Thank you..francesca bealert
