Consumer noticed a whining noise, dealer said transmission would have to be replaced due to the metal being scored from the gears grinding into it.

Vehicle stopped on the highway, replace catalytic converter, before this occured, transmission replaced, ox sensor and leaking vacuum switch to blame for poor acceleration and gas mileage, also slippage and leak from transmission due to transfer case and inner seal and gasket problems, replace.
