All items looked at by dealer, dealer also informed me that these are common problems Chevrolet is aware of. Odd that they don't do anything about them.

Currently, the front suspension needs repaired, the brakes were replaced at 18000 and are now gone again, the rear seals are leaking damaging the rear brakes, the drive lights still flash intermittently, a smell of gasoline is in the vehicle after refueling, the engine pings no matter what fuel is used. Nothing the dealer has done has solved the multitude of problems. Seat belt problems on passenger side, interior trim fell off, on and on.

The vehicle was being driven and a hesitation or power surge was felt and the vehicle then caght on fire. The fire was thought to have been put out after the occupants got out of the vehicle and then the fire started again. The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames and burnt up. At this time it is unknown of the reason for the fire.

The housing around the condenser is broken and crumbles at the slightest touch. I am worried engine fumes are getting into my car via the hole. The front passenger automatic lock unlocks about 30% or less when the door is shut. It seems to try but not beable to unlock the door, but when door is open it works fine.

Car sputtered and lost power on two occasions. First time engine was replaced. Second time distibutor was replaced. Third diagnosis for the "check engine soon" light being on was that the cateletic converter is no good. Dealer is replacing it. This dealer also indicates that both lower ball joints are worn out. Must be replaced. This seems outrageous for a 3.5 yr old truck which has not been off-road. Summary: New radiator system, new engine, new distributor, new cateletic convertor, and soon to have new ball joints -- all prior to 45000 miles. I fear this vehicle may be dangerous.

Entire radiator system replaced, 4 mos later entire engine replaced, 7 days later, distributor replaced. No diagnosis for any of these problems. Closed dexcool radiator system was filled with black syrup and had no fluid but showed no signs of leaking!? engine lost power and sputtered prior to engine replacement(which may have been unneccessary!) and showed identical symptoms 7 days later, for which a distributor replacement fixed symtoms. Now my "service engine soon" light is on for my engine with 600 miles on it! I am getting a 3rd dealer's opinion today. Please help if you can.

On October 23, 1997, (29,2116 miles) front brake pads were replaced. On November 11, 1997, (30,216 miles) service engine light on. Code PO442 found. Vacuum line off pulse valve they said. On January 13, 1998, (34,102 miles) service engine light on. Code P1870 for transmission slippage. Cleared code, that was all. On February 16, 1998, (35,514 miles) service engine light on, and front brakes squeeling, found code P1870. Found water in connector on transmission. Replaced front brake pads and turned rotors. Dealer stated that no further brake work would be done on warranty. February 24, 1998 (36,059 miles) service engine light, front brake squeeling. Transmission level low they said, and advised braked performing as designed at this time. March 5, 1998, (36,562 miles) service engine light on. Found code P1870. Replaced transmission tcc pulse solenoid. March 18, 1998, service engine light on again, dealer refused to work on it. Vehicle was driven home and has remained unmoved since.

Anti-freeze used in engine turns to a solid jell. It will not circulate through the lines. It's a 100,000 miles anti-freeze & it burned the engine. Vehicle would still run, but the fluid is rusty. Also, transmission is burned. Taking vehicle to dealer to have it checked.

Intermittently, while driving the vehicle at any speed, the Blazer dies. The Blazer has been to dealership 5 or 6 times for this problem. The egr valve was cleaned once and changed. The computer replaced twice, and a new coil wire replaced. Consumer still experiencing problem with Blazer.
