Driver seat recliner handle broke off. Looks like junk metal was used. I consider this a safety hazard since the seat position could have the driver in the wrong postion in the event the air bags were deployed.
- Stow, OH, USA
Seat handles kept breaking off. Cooling system makes gurgling sounds and sound like water running. No air conditioning.
- Columbia, TN, USA
Seat recline levers snapped off without warning. These units are made from zinc die casting and should have not been used. GM will do nothing to repair, the repairs are over three hundred dollars to replace with similar zinc rods. The local dealer said they see this all of the time. I know of 5 people with similar problems. Consumer service will not do anything about it, normal wear and tear!.
- Lawrenceville, GA, USA
Coolant system constantly produces redish brown sludge and clogs system. Reclining handles broke off both front seats.
- Peculiar, MO, USA
The rod that connects the reclining handle to the seat. The metal actually came off with the handle, so the seat is stuck in an unsafe position.

Regarding complaint on battery: At 26,000 miles the original battery was replaced. The replacement battery began leaking at approx. 38000 miles; however, battery did not fail until 39000 miles. Dealer says since battery was replaced in 36000 mile period, the replacement battery carries no warranty. This doesn't make sense. Regarding handles to recline seat back: They both broke off where connected to chair. Soft metal used. There was no heavy usage or foce applied. I feel that GM is using inferior parts and materials and seek assistance.

After a day of driving this rental car, moderate acceleration caused the driver's seat to travel to its rear limit. The latching mechanism seemed ok from that time onward.
- Gaithersburg, MD, USA
In a period of twelve months, handle used to recline the seat on the driver's side has been replaced twice and needs to be replaced again. The handle automatically breaks off in the driver's hand when the seat is reclined. The dealership is aware of the problem.

We've had numerous problems with the same dealership in getting our vehicle repaired. We feel this is a safety issue, because if your seat can't be adjusted properly you can be injured by the air bag, and also you can't adjust your seat to gain clear visibility. This is the third time in a little over a year we've had this part break, and every time we try to get it fixed there is always a few days of delay and they don't give a loaner car because they say it's driveable.
