Relay for 4 way flashers is clicking, online my problem with flasher relay and brake lights is listed under recall 01073B. I have no idea if this recall was done, done properly or just timed out.

It started with my gauges bouncing all over going on and off, then it felt like the brakes were on and I had to give it alot of gas to get going.now the dash will work when I turn the key on but as soon as it starts it goes out with the exception of the oil pressure and the charging gauge. The transmission isnt working right at all and I dont dare drive it anywhere. The fuse box under the hood does not test right, only about half of it has power and I am at a loss there! there has been electrical probnlems with it ever since I bought it.

Fuel sensor problem that's been going on with a lot of 2000 Chevy Blazer also trail Blazer and also the distributor there is no seal under the distributor cap cause it to have moisture and cause it not to run and you have to replace it this is to the company or whoever's in charge now the fuel system itself is called a spider sense or what I call it not to run it all the time they must be some type of filter besides the one on side of the vehicle itself because they go out within a year or maybe two years or so this must be addressed so hopefully I get some information to help fix the vehicle that I don't think you I hope I could get some information about it because the fule sensor is a big deal wen they last for about a year and then to buy one for about 400 dollars and then pay another 1000 dollars for labor I think that the injection for the fule sensor should be addressed hopefully have a re call thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you can help god bless

I removed the suspect security system and repaired the damaged wiring which resulted in the improper installation. In the past week I have been confronted with four customer complaints which resulted from security systems, aftermarket radios and including aftermarket headlamps. These aftermarket components are the direct cause of system failures involving engine management systems, lights, and numerous electrical failures. I sincerely request immediate and thorough investigation which I remain confident will result in massive recalls of these inferior products.

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that the heater and air conditioner failed to function. In addition, the contact stated that the four wheel drive was activated, but failed to engage and the oil pressure gauge displayed an incorrect reading. The ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the transfer case needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Ever since I own this vehicle, the ignition switch does not lock. Therefore it is possible to leave the truck and not know the ignition switch is still in the on position. Also, the gas gauge bounces all over the place and I have to use the trip to know when I need gas. This has also been a problem since I own the truck. Occasionally, the low fuel light comes on (I know I have fuel) and the truck starts acting like it's low on gas.

Fortunately, I had just gotten off the freeway and was looking for an address at a slow speed. All of a sudden the car lurched; I had no steering; I lost all electrical control; the car ground to a halt; smoke came out from under the hood. I and a friend got out of the car. Fortuitously, fire trucks appeared. It turned out they were returning from another incident as I could not believe the immediacy of their response. They took over preventing further aggravation of this situation. The battery was boiling. All the electrical wire harnesses were melted. The upper suspension control arm was broken. The firemen's observation was, if I had been going any faster, the car could have flipped. After being towed to a nearby mechanic, I learned the upper control arm had broken. It impailed the starter which shorted. That melted the wiring harnesses to and from the battery, as well as being the cause of the battery boiling. The key issue is that General Motors would build a vehicle where the upper control arm is so flimsy it would break. I have read other incidents of the same thing with the Chevrolet Blazer where, for example, a person was going 30mph, the car flipped, and the person was knocked unconscious. A repeated corporate failure of this nature should have consequences.

Always smell fuel while driving replaced all fuel systems then all sensors needed replacing so I did that and now there telling me I have a electric problems since buying this vehicle new I put over $6000 dollars into and I still have all the same problems mostly with the fuel system I still smell alot of fuel when driving and back firing and shutting off in the middle of driving I have all my receipts from work done on the whole fuel system and I've looked up this kind of Blazer and everyone who owned one has the same problems.

My 2000 Blazer ls 2dr 4X4 has ipc problems. The ipc lights have gone out and do not illuminate the gauges, this is a safety hazard when driving. The ABS and parking brake indicator lights go on and off. The parking brake sticks and wont release. Due to the number of complaints, recalls, and service bulletins issued on these safety problems I think more should be done to hold the manufacturer responsible for repairing these defects. The first 11 digits of my VIN match at least 2 other vehicles first 11 digits and yet Chevy doesn't feel they should fix the issue with all Blazer. I am concerned with the safety of my vehicle.

11/18/2009: Smoke was coming from the steering column. Spoke with a family member who works as a technician for pep boys. He believed the cause to be the multifunction switch. 11/20/2009: Brake lights would not turn off even when the vehicle was turned off. They stayed on until they completely drained my battery. Looked up recalls and found there was a recall on the multifunction switch: NHTSA action number: RQ08001. 11/21/2009: Called the GM number listed on the NHTSA recall form to ask for assistance with the cost of replacing the part. Was refused assistance and given the following reasons: My particular VIN was not one included in the recall. I didn't purchase my vehicle from a GM dealer. I purchased my vehicle used (there was only one previous owner). My vehicle has over 100,000 miles on it. I don't have a (proven) history of being a loyal GM owner. I don't have my repairs done at a GM dealer. The estimated cost of the multifunction switch itself is $200. That does not include labor. The repair needs to be done immediately as the vehicle is unable to be driven as is.

Go to vehicle, try to start, "security" lamp begins to flash. No start issue. Have to wait for 10 minutes and try again, about 50% of the time is starts, other 50% you have to wait another 10 minutes and try again.... GM passlock system issue. Is it the ignition, the BCM, the ECM....?

Smoke from steering column, after the smoke from the column the hazard lights and switch would not work, break lights would not work either. GM dealer replaced the multifunction switch @ a cost of $438.50 and said they never heard of this problem before. Vehicle was recalled and was apparently fixed for the same reason 6 yrs ago.

I purchased my 2000 Blazer in 6/20/02 from a Chevy dealer in pa. I purchased the extended warranty. I have until 6/07 OR100000 miles I have replaced the coil and distributor cap and rotor 5 times a new fuel pump a catalytic converter windshield washer motor and turn signal switch it has gotten to the point that I can't even sell it to anyone private and I can't afford to keep it. There has been electrical and computer issues shorts that melted the fuse box under the hood that melted the relay for the fuel pump. Also there was a short that wiped the computer codes out and I had a rough time passing emission testing I am at the point the extended warranty does not want to spend any more on the vehicle. I have had the motor mounts replaced twice in 4 years. I have never been notified of any recalls orservice notices. I have had the vehicle serviced by licensed mechanics and had it serviced at the appropriate mileage required for the warranty.

On five separate occasions the vehicle stalled while driving at any speed. The driver was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they were unable to duplicate the problem. The engine shut down without any warning at any speed and while idling in park, the engine restarted. The problem could not be duplicated. The gas filter, ignition wiring, and the fuel pump was replaced but the vehicle was still experiencing the same problem.

Have put 3 batteries in car that's 3 1/2 years old. Have replaced passenger hub assembly. Have replaced leaking oil lines. Constant carbon build-up on throttle. Car sometimes "dies" with no reason. While driving 25 mph the transmission failed. The dealer was notified about 7 months ago but they could not duplicate or correct the problem. The dealer was notified of the shruddering and slippage of the transmission at 23863. The front differential pinion seal leaked, the check light was replaced due to the malfunctioning switch, the brake light had become inoperative due to an open circuit, the heating seat was inoperative, there was a rattle in right front suspension, the transmission had no reverse, and there was hard shifting into the forward gears.
