Blazer

  • Automatic transmission
  • 141,051 miles

Drove for about 30 minutes (everything was fine) on Sunday, got home went inside and decided to run a small errand. Drove out of the driveway and the felt the gears slip and the RPM's started to race. Quickly brought it back home, shut off the engine, started it up again and it wouldn't go in reverse and the RPMS raced. Checked the fluid and saw it was brownish, figured it was the tranny. Later confirmed by my mechanic. Decided to get it fixed to buy me some time before I buy a 4cyl vehicle.

Blazer LS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

We were out of town in Kansas City, MO on a road trip for our vacation and it was the day before we were driving back home to Virginia and the transmission blew. The sunshell exploded sending little shards of metal all through my transmission, destroyed it. I only had 2nd gear and didn't have any reverse. I limped it to my friends house and called Cottman transmissions (who were great by the way) they towed it for free and fixed it, but it took a week to fix and I needed to be back east. So I had to take a flight back east and left my fiance in KC with the truck. I hate this car and hope that someone who is thinking of buying one will see this and NEVER BUY A GM PRODUCT!

Blazer LS 4.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,000 miles

OMG...I have had this vehicle for just under 7months. I bought it for $3,900 and have had nothing but problems since. Now on all days the transmission goes out, no warning, just a clank and done. I vow to never buy GM again if I can help it. I deliver the local news paper for a living and I bought this car because it can hold all of my Sunday papers. Well not anymore...I am now stuck in a 94 Geo Prizm that I had given to my grandpa but then took back.

I will post my other complaints as well...thanks!

With all the money I spent on repairs, I could of paid it off, but it seems to me that is the plan for American cars make money on parts, and it finally caught up to the industry now the country is taking a hit with all the job cuts due to better competition

After noticing a whining under my hood I was advised that I needed a new transmission. The whining noise would grow louder as I accelerated. This was covered under an extended warranty.
