About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
Occasionally the front wipers on my 2000 Chevy Blazer would stop working for no reason at all and eventually after a few minutes would kick back on, but as of yesterday Dec 21 2008 they will not come back on. I was informed that this is probably due to a bad wiper circuit board. This same problem occurred and had a recall for a 1997 Chevy S10 pickup. And guess what"?" they use the same part number. However Chevy will not replace the wiper circuit board on my vehicle because there was never a recall on my specific vehicle model/year. If it is the same part and I am having the same problem this should be replaced by the manufacturer. Now out of pocket I am looking at $150 or a little more depending on what parts store I can find this circuit board at. I called several dealerships and the Chevy 1-800#. to me this is unacceptable, if it is the same part number that had a problem in a previous vehicle then it should be covered under the recall notice.

The bar attached behind windows obstructs driver's view. Its a blind spot & can not see other vehicles on right hand side. Also, front of the hood is tapered down. Taking vehicle back to dealer to check.
