Chevy Blazer has low milage. However, it still has several electrical issues radio at engine start goes to loudest point and car seats move backwards at awkward times which can cause an accident. Suspension very off guard, truck drifts to the sides while driving and makes an awkward sound when turning steering wheel. The complete break / steering system is off and may cause an accident if not properly take care right away. I have no money to do this big job. Please remediate.

My 2001 Chevy Blazer stop lights are not operable due to a known GM recall 08V231000 however they are not willing to fix this without me paying up front. Loss of the brake lights and turn signals have made my vehicle inoperable. There is a short in the switch that cause smoke to come from the steering column as well.

Brake lights fail to illuminate, hazard flasher intermittently works, top center brake light works as it should. Replaced the flasher unit to no avail. Determined to be a defective turn signal-multifunction switch. Researched the numerous complaints and saw that there was a recall for this problem but according to the dealer my vehicle does not fit it to the recall. I see that there are many many people with the same problem. It seems that this recall did not include many of the effected vehicles.

Caller stated that vehicle was in park with the ignition off, and about fifteen minutes after caller parked the car, someone notified him that the vehicle was on fire and burning heavily. Fire seemed to be confined to the engine compartment. Caller speculated that the fire began on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. I am pregnant and very scared to drive this vehicle again. I was told by rick, service manager, toni hall at flow Chevrolet a year ago that this 4X2 and 4X4 wheel drive was corrected while under warranty. They refused to fix the major problem and changed out a switch. During this whole year I haven't been able to drive comfortablly. Now they have had to replace the whole front end. A brand new car now with only 39,000 miles. The noise is terrifying and I've been insulted by GM with a loyalty incentive for $700 to take off on a new vehicle. No one can asure me that I will be safe, even after they told me it was fixed a year ago. I'm scared to drive it. I will leave it at their place until they can get me a safe car to drive.

Electrical problems and door problems - I bought my Blazer when it was 2 years old with 8300 miles on it. With about 13000 miles on it the vehicle would not stay running and the battery gauge was under 9. I got the vehicle started and drove to the dealership. They replaced the alternator. They would not cover a loaner or rental since I was able to drive the car to the dealership. If I would have had it towed they would have covered a rental. 2 weeks later same problem repeated. Brought it back to dealership and they found the ground wire off the alternator was not properly tightened to the engine block. Again they would not cover a rental car since the car was driveable. That fixed the problem. With about 17000 miles on it and 2 1/2 years old noticed rattling noise coming from drivers side front. Noticed that the drivers side front door was sagging. Brought vehicle to dealership and again they would not pay for a rental or loaner. Problem diagnosed as door needing new bushing and center pins for the hinges. They had to order the parts and I had to bring vehicle back. Again they would not pay for a rental or give me a loaner. I had a 1/2 hour discussion with service director for the dealership and finally gave me a loaner. I called Chevy about the problem with the doors and they don't find that out of the ordinary for the vehicle to need new pins and bushings with only 17500 miles on it. The 3/36000 warranty is up in two months and I will be getting rid of the vehicle before the warranty is up before something else breaks on it. I will never buy another GM vehicle!!
