problem #2

Apr 152012

Blazer

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

It began with the transmission not shifting into 3rd gear and just revving, with RPM's going to 5000+. Within 1 month, I lost 2nd gear and was down to only being able to go 30 mph if lucky. The transmission was replaced with an aftermarket. Within 1 year, had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM! So, had the original transmission rebuilt. Now have 251,000+ miles on it with no more gear issues. Lots of other issues, but at least not that.

Blazer LS 4.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,000 miles

Experiencing intermittent slipping from 1st to 2nd gears and on turns from a stop. Transmission is slow to shift from drive to reverse and occasional whining when vehicle is cold. The problem is not frequent enough to pull a code on diagnostic equipment.
