It started with the door not opening. Nothing would make it budge. I knew the latch was stuck shut, but I had no idea how to release it. At that point, I got creative and tore the door panel apart. Pulled on every rod I could see, and wha-do-ya-know! It flies open, put WD-40 on it, and prayed for the best.
The next day, what happens? I was so happy, I once again had to enter my somewhat cramped cab from the passenger side. The very next time I got it open, i went to a salvage yard and bought a new door from a 92. Everything was great. For three weeks.
I came to the realization that my new door was not locking. AT. ALL. I finally got the locking motor to keep a hold on the rod, and then what happens? A completely different rod falls out from the keyhole and I no longer have the ability to lock/unlock my door anymore. Guess who's using the passenger door once again? But, at least this time I don't have to crawl across my seats. Also, my arm rest on the door is broken apart because someone pulled on it to close the door, and the panel isn't even attached, it just hangs there, because all the clips are one time use BS. My truck is making it very, very clear that I'm not going to win this whole door thing. But that's ok, at least it's window works and I can pretend that I'm a Duke of Hazard.
