While driving on highway hit the accelerator pedal, and vehicle hesitated/stalled. Contacted dealer, and they replaced the fuel pump.

While driving gas pedal floored itself and would not return to idle. The vehicle accelerated to 85mph. Driver had to apply excessive amount of pressure to brake pedal in order to stop. After turning vehicle off and then back on. The pedal was still floored and engine revved. Gas pedal had to be plied from floor. This has happened before. Dealer could not find the cause of the problem.
