Camaro Z28 V8

The window starts to drop down in the door. I have a convertible and a little gap is to much. The mechanism which is metal is secured to a fiberglass door, and mthis does not work. I was told I had to purchase a complete new door. This problem will just keep happening, NOT TO SMART
