Camaro 2LT/RS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 66,900 miles

I love the car but I am a bit concerned about this problem. It is showing the outline of the air bag on the passenger side. I am concerned that the air bag will either not work when needed or it will go off on its own prematurely. I have not been to see about fixing this problem as I do not have the funds to fix it out of my pocket. I feel that this is a problem that CM should address and fix at no cost to the customer. I am thinking about reporting this to the government safety people as I know I am not the only one to have this issue.

I also have a problem with the fuel system valve on the canister above the gas tank going bad and needing to be replaced. Cost is around four hundred dollars to fix it and has been that way for several years now. Car runs fine but some of the features such as remote start and heated seats do not work now because of the trouble light and code. I do not feel that I should suffer any cost for these repairs due to the mileage when they occurred, and especially the potential safety of the passenger air bag.

Camaro RS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 26,098 miles

I have spoke to other Camaro owners' and I have heard that this is a fairly common complaint. This is obviously out of my control. I take excellent condition of my car and there is no excuse or reason for this to be happening. I feel that is the responsibility of General Motors to rectify this problem at a cost to them not to the Camaro owners. I work hard to first to be an Camaro owner and second to keep my car in the best condition possible. This is an eye sore for me and disheartening when friends and family are taking a look at my car and notice it and tell me about it.
