engine stalls/dies while driving engine stalls/dies while driving engine stalls/dies while driving engine stalls/dies while driving engine stalls/dies while driving

Well GM you really got me this time. SO I have a 2010 3.6L v6 Camaro LLT and I bought it FEBRUARY 10th 2017 from the dealership. The first day I got it it ran perfect, no problems, no NOTHING. So 2 YEARS pass by and I was at a stop light and it turned green and when I tapped my foot on the throttle, the car bogged and stalled out. It's a Automatic car. So I turned the car back on quick because of traffic and not even a minute went by and the car started skipping/jumping RPMs, like it was about to stall again.

I got frustrated and towed the car home and I did have a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on. The codes were P0008-P0016, it was a bad timing chain. We got the timing chain fixed and low behold my valves and heads were WARPED, so we got new valves and my heads resurfaced. Everything was brand new.

So it is FEBRUARY 19th 2019 and that is when my car has started it's problems again. Nothing too crazy, just little bogs now and then, BUT I don't want it to get worse, As of now I am not driving the car till I come up with what's causing my car to be doing this! There's no check engine light as of now.

I got the car back TWO days ago and it ran perfect until today this afternoon! Can someone please help me with finding out whats causing this to happen? I will leave my number at the end in case I don't have a chance to get back on here. This problem has been annoying me lately I have work to go to and I don't want to miss it because of this issue.

There are a lot of complaints about this. There should be a recall on this. The car isn't that old to have a 2-3000.00 dollar problem for as much as the car cost in the first place!! Now I have a car payment and insurance payment and I can't even drive the damn thing....

engine stalls/dies while driving

Dear Valuable readers:

My name is Rana Mourany.. I'm a Chevrolet camaro lover.. i owned one since 2012, I'm from Beirut Lebanon, my car vin nbre is: 2G1FB1EV8A9107988. camaro LT1, silver 2010. v6 engine, i have a lot of issues and i don't know what to do, I'm sending this email after 3 years of bad experience with this vehicle. i did all maintenance issues, until now i have paid around 11550 $ maintenance, i swear i have come to an end, no one knows what's going on in this car even the dealership itself. it has a loss power engine several times on the highway, the dealership stated that its a computer problem, we had change the computer 2 times in a year and we do several inspection several times a month, than its a fuel problem, than catalyst problem, no one knows what's wrong with this car. i believe this to be very dangerous, loss of power at highway speeds is very alarming and may cause death and hard crash accident..I'm sending this email to your kind self, I need an urgent reply since I've been spending all my money on maintenance and until now my car still at the dealership, I'm really losing faith in this company, what is happening to the quality of Chevrolet services...

Kindest Regards.

The check engine light did not come on again until May 7. I had been driving this car to work all week without a problem. I got in the car to head out of town. It drove fine for a mile, then it kinda swerved in the road. At first, I thought I had hit something in the road, but I didn't. I made a right turn at the stoplight, then the check engine light came on. It happened so fast and took me off guard. The car stopped accelerating and a car was quickly approaching me. Luckily, there was a rock driveway to my right for me to pull off on. I sat there for a minute, wondering what just happened, and quickly realized I had to go back home and get my other car, since this one would barely accelerate. Thankfully, I made it back home. When I started the car again, it had a hard time staying idled, and it started running very roughly while in Park. I have already spent over $2,000 on this car this year. I will keep it parked in the driveway and notify the AAA mechanic, as well as the manufacturer. If the car had not messed up when it did, I would have been on the bypass; where the speed limit is 70. I won't allow myself to think about what COULD have happened. Too many people have had this same problem with their car decelerating and/or stalling. Usually, several people have to die before a recall happens. That is VERY unfortunate. I will say this...I WILL NOT drive that vehicle again any time soon. Doing so, could put my life in danger. For a company to KNOW about a problem, and do nothing about it is illegal. Fix the problem before it gets worse. This is the 3rd Camaro I've owned, and there WILL NOT be a 4th.

Warning to 2010 Camaro owners....Be careful...your car may decelerate or stall at any time!

Jack Maxton and GM knew there was an ignition problem. It is on recall. They have not fixed it it. They denied there was a problem in 2010, 2011, 2012-then they got caught. They put my life and others at risk. I was injured., It caused an accident. They still have not fixed. Complaints filed......finally got a card on recall....they want to drill a whole in my key and ruin 2-$250.00 remote fobs that I paid for. The problem ignition in the column. They should replace it. It is in on recall and under warranty. Lawyer?

Nothing like driving this car. It was my favorite ride ever, until today. I was driving out the interstate and out of the blue, Major Engine Noise, Low End like bearing failure, then Upper Valve Train Noise, and instant loss of power, running 60 and it starts shutting down, NO dash lights on, Fresh, as in day of failure oil change, which was done every 3k miles. No issues prior to this, however it was instant. Cruise control was set at 60, and it was running excellent as always then instant failure, no lights, no warnings, just instant failure. I coasted to the shoulder of the interstate and once stopped the oil light came on, then I shut it down before it totally imploded.

This car has always been overly well cared for, and there is NO reason for the failure. Now it's a wait and see if GM cares enough for a devoted customer to take time to address this issue. It has 72k miles on it and I had it towed home until I discuss it with the management at GM. Hopefully the feedback I have received from other owners isn't correct, as they say this is the worst engine GM has ever built. I know after having my Suburban ( 1990 ) with 144k and no issues, this is totally nuts. This is the 5th Camaro I have owned and never have I had such issues with a GM product. Replacement cost seems to be over 5k for a new engine ( insane for a V6 ). Until today this car has performed immaculately, but instant failure with no warning at all and at cruising speed of 60 this is insane and totally Unacceptable.

I definitely would not recommend purchasing a 5th gen. Camaro with the issues I have, and honestly, over 5k for a new engine is totally nuts.

I was driving down the interstate when the car revved up on its own, engine light went on and the car lost power and died out. Weather is 100 degrees, and won't start back up. Will turn over but wont start. Towed to the nearest Chevy dealership.
