The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer who determined that the fuel tank needed to be lowered in order to run a more comprehensive diagnostic test. The contact stated that after running a smoke test, the contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who dropped the fuel tank and diagnosed that the welds on the fuel tank had leaks and that the fuel tank needed to be replaced with an upgraded fuel tank. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 148,794.

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle's speed decreased independently and the engine power reduce and service engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine codes needed to be reset. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle stalled and was restarted however, the failure recurred multiple times as the engine power reduced and service engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel rail pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 24,552. Updated 7/13/15 the consumer stated the vehicle had numerous wiring issues. The fuel rail sensor failed twice and the wiring harness sensor casued the engine control module to fail. Updated 02/09/16

2010 / 2011 Chevrolet Camaro - front suspension popping / clunking noises when hitting bumps. In some cases, there were reports of the strut penetrating through the engine frame. Reference forum link: www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?T=49036 active fuel management issues when traveling at low speeds. The afm initiates prematurely causing the automobile to become sluggish and can create a serious issue when trying suddenly stop at the time the afm initiates. GM will not admit to the defects even though there have been hundreds of complaints.
