Camaro LS 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 94,915 miles

Transmission went on the car and car sat for 6 months until I could afford the $3500 to fix. Just got car back yesterday and as I started the car the service air bag light is on. I do not have another $700 to $900 to fix this car and in doing research online, I see this is a common problem and should be a recall from GM. My wife and son drive in the passenger seat and now I have to fear either them not being protected or it deploying while they are in the seat. Nothing but problems with this car since I got it!!!

Camaro SS 6.2L V8

The sensor pad on the passenger front seat will not acknowledge passenger and triggers service air bag light. It appears to be an ongoing issue in the Camaro, Equinox, Cruz and Volt. Pad gets pinched losing connection in the sensors from moving the seat. Yet they continue to use this pad.

The Airbag light continues to come off and on. Once I took to dealership they said airbag sensor needs to be replaced. The cost is $1500. I have full extended warranty through Allstate which does not cover safety repairs per service advisor.

I have a 2010 Camaro v6 that the service airbag just started coming on and off. I have taken it anywhere. I'm looking to see if it's a safety recall. I don't have funds to fix. I wanted to know if the airbag could deploy at any moment or not. I believe it has cause my check engine light to also come on because after going to town and the service airbag light constantly coming on as I pulled in my driveway the check engine light popped on. Please help. Is there a recall on this?

Camaro LT1 3.6L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 89,000 miles

Passenger Airbag warning come on anytime someone sits in the passenger seat. This needs a recall. I am seeing far too many complaints about this failure on GM cars in general. I sold my last car because of it. Safety IS that important to me. Fix it GM before you get a huge class action lawsuit filed against you. I WILL NOT pay to have this repaired. Safety is your responsibility for this problem.

Please recall it NOW!

Camaro 1LT V6

  • Automatic transmission

While driving at highway speeds my wife adjusted her position in the front passenger seat and at that time the Service Air Bag came on the center digital display. I did some research and people are either having the dealership replace the sensor pad at a considerable cost or doing it themselves. The list is endless with the 5th generation Camaros from what I've seen on the net. General motors should be recalling these vehicles and replacing it. Very much a safety concern.

Camaro 2LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

"Service Airbag Light" came on while cruising at highway speeds for no apparent reason. Is still on and I was told it would cost somewhere between $750.00 to $1500.00 to fix. Warranty is up due to age, not mileage, but Chevrolet doesn't even care. After researching online it's obvious this is not a unique problem with my car. Come on GM, we rescued your ass with our tax dollars, maybe you could assume a little responsibility before you kill someone.

This car has never even bumped against anything let alone be in some kind of accident, so how is it my fault the airbags don't work. Hey Obama this is your car company, get them off their ass and fix these air bags!!!!

GM is a joke not covering customers VALID complaints knowing a recall should reflect & cover another year back &, if necessary, 2 years prior to the recall dates they have listed, IF it's valid! Problem is GM knows once they announce or add another year to the recall and word is out. It's money they have to spend to correct THEIR ERRORS, but it's not really about taking care of their customer at all!

So I have a 2012 model, SAME exact car, model engine & just have two major issues and see the recall in mail for my 2012, but, oh sorry that same airbag fix is $1,200. Took it in before warranty and they said the "CHECK AIRBAG " was all good, in fact diagnostic said good??? So what about the airbag error? Oh, said probably since we didn't have factory tires possibly oversized caused a balance issue. But after we change tires and get back in balance the error should go away but the tires lasted 20k miles & feeling uncomfortable. Just before 36k went back in & adviser at Rivergate, Tom Bannen, now Serra, of course no worry & feeling at least they ran the test & knew we were safe.

Low & behold even went back to factory size tires, new alignment, & they know this is recall of same & now to see the recall explains danger & our airbag may not deploy? And thanks be to God we have not had that test but my daughter that drives it to Nursing school wants to see the day to use her degree but GM said & acted like they were approving getting us under the recall, but not only said sorry, said they couldn't offer assistance? ! Like a complimentary $550 vs $1250.00 - but this is wrong and the service adviser is now a manager. It shows they did a tire light check before the warranty went out, that's such BS. The only error code ever showing wasn't a light at all, it was the error Blocking my speed om, & still is, but taking in recent for our first check engine or first light ever. it's a recall too on my 2012 so it's BS that's another 780 for the evap error.

I love this car but come on really service air bag? This vehicle has never been in an accident or hit anything. Is this a regular service like putting air in the tires, come on GMC were are you getting your parts from, the toy store? With the amount we consumers pay for your products these vehicles should last at least till they are paid off, and be safe to drive for the life of the vehicle at least 100,000 miles. We're is the recall, this is a major safety issue. How many lawsuits will you pay out before you fix this one. It stupid of you not to fix a problem before it cost someone there life. How irresponsible of GMC you should know better.

Camaro LS 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 71,432 miles

My service air bag light will pop on and off. It started with just my passenger side but now its on the drivers side as well. I've done some research and I have found that people have paid up to $700.00 to get one side fixed and that would be $1,400 for both sides. Its funny how it started happening right after my 3 year bumper to bumper warranty expired. I hope that there will be a recall for this problem.
