This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
Light has been on for quite some time now and doesn't go away. Had multiple mechanics look at the car, all have stated this is a Chevrolet issue that they should fix. Recently shipped my car to Germany and having a hard time registering the car here since the dealership charges are insanely high... ridiculous!

I have had an extended warranty on the vehicle, but almost always drive this vehicle alone, so I’m having to guess when it really started, because I only started noticing the problem when I had a passenger, so I’m just now freaking out having seen the horror stories others are reporting. Now, as a lawyer, I’m led to believe they (GM) sold me a vehicle THEY subjectively knew was not reasonably crashworthy, having known of this defect which could reasonably subject my passenger to serious injury or death if not properly and timely repaired. I noticed the problem with my SON in that seat; worse yet, the people who’ve gone to dealerships appear to CONTINUE to have the problem! GM needs to make this right; you don’t take chances with people’s lives with defects as serious as this!

2011 Camaro passenger air bag sensor is on will not go off, can't afford to get it fix over $700. Needs to be recalled and soon I hope.

The airbag sensor came on close to 28 thousand miles or so, and when I would take it to the dealers the light would be off and only come on occasionally. now the light is on all the time and when I took it to the dealer they said it was past my warranty already and I would have to pay out of pocket and I did have to pay for the diagnostic fee that was supposed to be covered by the warranty. The lady was supposed to check before the car was diagnosed but she forgot and told me after (Deacon Jones) that it would not be covered. The cost was about $700-800 dollars, they said it was a sensor under the passenger seat, the actual sensor costs about $450. dollars and the rest was labor. That is crazy. I did not get it replaced. I would have, had the cost of labor not been so much. Now my car is due for the yearly inspection and it will not pass because of the sensor.
This should be recalled!

Airbag light came on intermittently, and now stays on all the time. GM should issue a recall on this item. If not, then this will be the last GM product I ever buy. I tried to buy American made and it seems like it is a piece of sh*t.

At around 29,000 miles, the airbag light came on intermittently. Took it in, they "fixed" it and for the next four months it was fine. My warranty expired at 30,000 miles or 3 years. At 36,000 miles and 3 1/2 years the problem is back, only this time, the light stays on.

They have reset it every time, but at this point it needs to be replaced and the module needs to be replaced as well. 4 times in 2 years is not a fluke.

It's ridiculously irresponsible to NOT perform a recall for the front passenger airbag in 2010-2011 Camaro, Cruz and spark, who ALL have the same problem with the air bag not working. The " service airbag" message is constantly dinging and on my mileage read out. I'm disabled and I have a 12yr old son who has to sit in the front passenger seat as he's too tall to fit in the back. My Camaro is paid off and I've kept it in really good condition.
But, if we were to get into an accident, my son's airbag won't inflate and he'd most likely die, and I worry about that EVERY SINGLE DAY. On disability of course I can't afford to fix it, what I get from social security every month is barely enough to pay my bills and have food for my son and that amount is what the dealership asks for to fix it!!!!!!! I KNOW there are tons of Chevys out there with the exact same issues. I've read their testimonials and watched about a quarter of their YouTube videos on how to fix it at home and no experience!!!!
I cannot believe they got sued by Chevy owners and STILL NO RECALL!!!!! It's not like we're asking for our car to be replaced, just FIXED CORRECTLY and a verbal apology!!!!!
I'm going to make sure I tell EVERYONE I KNOW TO STAY AWAY FROM CHEVY, PERIOD, GO TO DODGE
