Problem present when I bought my SS convertible. Was told it was due to the temperature out and it would subside. The brakes are SO annoying and I have brought it in on 2 separate occasions to have it looked at and fixed but the dealer tells me that this is just the way these brakes are! That GM has put out a memo on it and that's just the way it is, nothing they can do.....
So I am off to another dealer to have them checked and hopefully fix the problem this time!

I noticed the front breaks squealing since the moment I took the car off the lot new. I took it back to the dealership and they first stated it was probably due to them being new and would stop after a while.
3 months later I said something again and was told that it is common with the type of brakes on the car.
I have mentioned several times and keep being told it is the kind of brakes on the car---but the pads are wearing down quickly.
I now have 30,000 miles on the car and still the brakes squeal.

I work for a Chevy dealer and they told me more than once that GM does not have a fix for the squealing brake noise. It is sooo annoying. It makes me feel like I have a cheaply made car! How can GM not have a fix for a squeaky brake, how stupid is that?
