problem #1

Oct 072016

Camaro 2SS 6.2L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

Vehicle, when coming to near a complete stop, emanates vibration from rear window-sill behind rear seating. Open trunk and observe inside and above a 'Tray' supporting rear speakers... tapping on this Tray tended to duplicate the vibration. As a possible high percentage remedy: Applied several strips of Duck-Tape to Tray seems to 'muffle' the irritant! Dealers prior to attempt remedy was not at all successful! They did, however, enjoy to 455 hp test drive!!

Update from Oct 28, 2016: I also noticed a lesser degree of vibration when placing "Engine Sound" in more "Stealth" modes.

Update from Jan 15, 2018: Above problem (# 1) resolved by Chev. dealership simply by replacing both rear speakers. Case closed.
