problem #1

Apr 162018

Camaro SS 6.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 14,000 miles

The doors are leaving marks inside where the door shuts. This problem was more evident on the driver's side because it was the most used door. The problem was apparent on the passenger door in August of 2018. I took it to the dealer I purchased it from and they accused me of wrecking my car and did not see a problem. I took it to an independent body shop who said it was a design flaw. Convertible doors are heavier and the body flexes more than a sedan. I took my car back to another Chevy dealer and it was determined, verbally, that it was a design flaw. My concern is that through the matter of time the weight of the doors, flexing of the body and the design flaw it will become a serious problem. I have not been given a resolve because the last dealer can not even come up with a repair solution. I am still waiting on the last dealer to give me a call back.
