Shudder in the transmission. My camaro shudders between 40 and 50 mph. It had a recall and was taken in for the repairs. It was a transmission fluid flush and a change in the fluid. Something like that. The problem is shudder isn't fixed it was for a while but its back. There's definitely something still wrong with this. Is it causing the car more damage? I believe GM should repair all the recalled vehicles right! This is an issue and a huge nuisance. Shudder problem is still there!

There are two primary concerns with this vehicle that, after further investigation, appear to be commonly experienced issues. While driving, the vehicle shudders unexpectedly and intensely, then the issue spontaneously resolves. Upon contacting the dealership, I was informed that this is a recognized problem. The service representative explained that moisture was accumulating in the transmission fluid due to a factory defect, resulting in the sporadic vibration. I was advised that a transmission flush using Mobile One would rectify the problem, but this measure proved ineffective. The dealership is now suggesting that the torque converter may be the cause. Separately, the rear window has detached from the convertible top. Despite my efforts to seal the gap, water still seeps into the vehicle during rainfall.

While idling out of a driveway on Friday, 8/25/23, there was a warning on the dash that stated "low oil pressure, shut off vehicle immediately." I immediately shut the vehicle off within seconds of seeing this warning and towed the vehicle home. I've read that these vehicles-Camaro ZL1 are notorious for failed oil pumps. I have babied this vehicle and do not use it as a daily driver. I only take it out a few times a year and have only 18,000 miles on it. The vehicle is in stock condition and has not been modified which blows my mind that this would even occur on such a well taken care of vehicle that is so expensive and supposed to be the top the line. Of course the dealer was unhelpful due to it being pass what they consider warranty timeframe. I am hopeful that GM will assist in any way possible being that I believe GM installed faulty oil pumps on these expensive vehicles. Also I am a loyal customer to GM. Within the last 5 years, I have purchased 3 brand new Chevys-2017 Camaro ZL1, 2020 Silverado Trailboss, and 2021 Malibu RS.

My vehicle dies while going 60 MPH or at red lights, creating a dangerous situation in traffic or on the highway. At times when yielding it feels like I've been hit by another vehicle from behind, the transmission does not downshift normally, and the TSB (see attached) proves that General Motors knew about this issue and did not notify customers or recall the vehicle for repairs. I have 2 issues with my vehicle and both issues remain unresolved even after utilizing the power train warranty. My vehicle was taken to the dealership for repairs multiple times, the "check engine" light was on the vehicle, no one checked it, and General Motors did not honor its Power Train Warranty Obligations, "the defects remain unresolved". My vehicle is dangerous to operate, I have tried working with General Motors to arrive at a solution, "But I should not be forced pay additional expense for issues General Motors knew about a, issued TSB's warning dealerships, and made no effort to notify customers. I am reporting this issue to the NTSB before providing a 30 day Notice of Intent to sue, to General Motors

When I am driving or when I start my car every two weeks or so many miles the engine light will come on. After driving so many miles or a day later the engine light will go back off. This has happened 10 times since purchasing the car. I am taking it to the dealership on Monday to figure out why this may be happening. This is $150 just to get a diagnostics test done. I have had a diagnostics test done on the car previously when this first happened for free at an auto store. It threw the P0024 cam shaft code. I'm anxious to figure out what's happening.

I purchased my 2017 camero with only 36 miles on it. The vehicle has been back to the dealership several times for maintenance within the first year of me purchasing the vehicle. It has been twice for the vibration of the transmission. At first they told me it was a issue with the tires. I ended up purchasing new tires, however the problem still persisted. I took the vehicle back to the dealership and they finally stated that it was a issue with the transmission fluid and they had to wait on GM to send some to the dealership. The most recent issue I have with my 2017 camero is that the stability track light came on, this caused my car to cut off while I was driving it. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership. The dealership stated they repaired the stability track issue but I need a new engine or to have the engine rebuilt. The dealership stated a code#2 cylinder misfire internal code displayed. The dealership stated that a new engine would cost me around $8900 plus labor. They stated to rebuild it it would be over $10,000. They stated my warranty was up at 60,000 miles and that there is nothing that they or GM can do to to assist me. This is the first car that I have ever purchased and it 's unthinkable that a engine goes out on a car with 70,000 miles on it. I also kept up with my regular scheduled maintenance. I don't know what to do.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. While driving 32 mph, the vehicle decelerated and lost power in the middle of the road. Also, the steering wheel seized and excessive force had to be used to turn the steering wheel. The vehicle was driven to Chevrolet montebello (310 w whittier blvd, montebello, ca 90640, (323) 680-5933) where it was diagnosed that an oil change was needed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure later recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was unknown.

Bought the vehicle brand new January 2017...2017 convertible Camaro ss. 6 weeks later the brakes have been squeaking all day every day. They squeak on any type of road and at any time of the day. I have brought it to 3 dealerships to be looked at and filed a formal complaint with GM they refuse to help me with anything. I have found thousands of the same complaints online and is just refusing to fix the issue or refund the money for these vehicles. They are saying the squeaking of the brakes is normal. I asked for them to replace them and fix the issue and they won't. now when the vehicle gets over 50 mph the whole front end also vibrates and when I come to a complete stop and press the gas to accelerate it lunges forward. Nothing is being fixed.

When taking off from a stop, at normal speed, the engine bogs and almost stalls. This requires a re application of the clutch and more throttle to prevent stalling. This happens almost daily. It has happened while pulling into traffic from a driveway and almost caused an accident. I have been driving with a clutch for over 30 years on both cars and motorcycles. There is a real problem with the torque management system on this car. This problem affects many of this model of Camaro there is an online forum that has an in depth discussion of the problem: www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?T=498180&page=10

2017 Camaro ZL1 manual this is specific for this car model. There is an issue with throttle response when moving out of a stop. Engine stalls and RPM comes back afterward very high. This is dangerous on cross road stops and stop lights. Had few events the car would almost stall and be in a dangerous place in the road with upcoming traffic. This problem can cause a collision. It requires new ignition timing programming of the ECU. Chevrolet is aware of the issue for a long time and has not issued any fixes yet.

The manual transmission bogs in first gear under aggressive acceleration from a standing start. This most often occurs when pulling out into traffic. I have had the vehicle almost stall on numerous occasions iwhen pulling out into traffic. I believe the cause is excessive torque management in the vehicle's ECU program.
