problem #2

May 162018

Camaro LT2 RS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,600 miles

Since initial complaint to Kring Chevrolet in may 2018, I have mentioned this problem 2 more times while having regular service performed, and to my knowledge they stated that they can't find any problem of trans/torque slipping or hard shifting. Their service write-ups never disclose that any request was made by me regarding the problem. I'm only given verbal info from the service dept. regarding their 'no found problem'. Curious.

Camaro RS 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,000 miles

2nd time that I had to drop vehicle off for same symptoms as before.

The first time they changed the transmission fluid; claiming that the formula used by the Chevy Manufacturer was the wrong type. I was told to drive the vehicle for at least 500 miles before they would consider changing torque converter or other transmission components.

The problem is back - vibration at 1,500 RPM. and now intermittent slipping when in 1st / 2nd gear in Automatic transmission mode. The dealer mechanic is changing the drivetrain; but the part is on back-order - over 2 weeks. I am quickly losing faith in GM. I just replaced my wife's SUV with an import because of the issues I am having with my car - what a shame.
