problem #1

Caprice 5.0L (305) V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

At around 100k miles, the speedometer started to squeal/tick. My mechanic tried to lubricate it with WD-40 or something, but it only temporarily fixed it. I haven't wanted to drop down the $$ to get it fixed. It's at it's worst in cold weather, the needle bobs back and forth and ticks above about 45mph unless it's summer or the car has been on the road in the winter for about 35min
