Fuel pump failure caused stall at highway speed, although the fuse was blown, wiring harness melted at the fuel pump and tank sending unit suggesting lethal concerns for safety.

Wiring harness to fuel pump (inside fuel tank)somehow shorted out causing wiring to get hot enough to melt the wire insulation and plastic connectors, which attach to the fuel pump.
