The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva. While driving various speeds, the battery cables became inoperable and the vehicle lost power. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that both the negative and positive cables to the battery failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000. The VIN was not available.
