Cavalier 2dr Coupe

When i turn the car A/C on or the defrost the car begins to shake and it seems like the car is reving on its own or high idleing. Im not sure of the problem but its pretty bad. sometimes the A/C or Defrost arent even on and it still begins to shake and seem like its reving. I could really use some help.
