The engine light never goes off. We've spent $80 multiple times to have it diagnosed and to be told a new gas cap is what we need. We replace it and the light comes back on next time we fill the tank. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Check engine light came on after a heavy rain fall. I used a generic OBD II scan tool to retrieve the fault code, retrieved P0141 (Downstream oxygen sensor heater circuit). Check the voltage of the sensor, everything checked out so I dried the downstream O2 sensor using a hair dryer and turned off the code; never came up again.
